The port of Puerto Rico (German: "rich port") is the second largest holiday resort on Gran Canaria and is particularly popular with families as a holiday destination. The former fishing village belongs to the municipality of Mogan and has developed into one of the major tourist centers on the Canary Island since the 1970s.
In addition to a great sandy beach, Puerto Rico offers everything you could want for a relaxing and exciting vacation.

The tourist orientation of the port town offers countless opportunities to keep busy in addition to extensive visits to the beach.
There are tennis courts, squash courts, there is a golf course nearby. If you like, you can try water sports or simply rent a surfboard or diving equipment. You can also do paragliding.

There are a few bars and restaurants right at the port, so that physical well-being is also taken care of outside the hotel complex. There are a few shops and shopping centers that cover tourist needs very well. The long beach promenade invites you to take a walk along the Atlantic, especially in the evening hours.

The nightlife also takes place in the port area, but Puerto Rico is rather quiet. The hotel complexes themselves ensure extensive evening activities, events and parties, so that you can end the evening in a more relaxed way in the bars at the harbour.
