Treptower Park, created in the second half of the 19th century, is located directly on the Spree in the Alt-Treptow district of the Treptow-Köpenick borough of Berlin. The park is home to the Archenhold Observatory and the Soviet Memorial with a military cemetery.

Treptower Park is structured like the city's three other 19th-century parks: large, sunny lawns and wide, curved paths alternate. To the north, the park borders the Treptower Park S-Bahn station of the Berlin Ringbahn and its tracks. To the southeast, it extends to the Plänterwald with the former Spreepark amusement park and the Eierhäuschen.

On the Spree side is Treptower Hafen, a home port for excursion boats from the Stern- und Kreisschiffahrt. Located in the direction of the Island of Youth, it is one of the three houseboat colonies in Berlin (alongside the Kolk on Saatwinkler Damm in Plötzensee and the Flutgraben on Straße des 17. Juni in Charlottenburg).
