An eye-catching building on Fronwagplatz is the Fronwagturm. In the Middle Ages, the building was the knight's seat of the mayors of Randenburg. The market or front scales for determining the pound duty were also located here. The original tower collapsed in 1746 and was rebuilt as a baroque high-rise in 1747 according to plans by Hans Corad Spengler.
In the gable field there is an astronomical clock by Joachim Habrecht from 1561. Furthermore, in the roof turret there is a small bell captured from Balm Castle in 1449 (the "Küngeliglöcklein"). The clock and the bell were taken from the old tower.
