      Finally, the legend “The Faithful Woman of Kriebstein”
      During Carnival in 1415, the knight Dietrich von Staupitz took Kriebstein Castle. The Margrave Frederick the Quarrelsome then besieged the castle. After a long time, the women in Kriebstein Castle in particular couldn't take it anymore. Staupitz's wife asked the Margrave that at least the women should be allowed to leave Kriebstein Castle with the most valuable things they could carry. When Frederick the Brave agreed to this, he was probably thinking of the ladies' jewelry. But when the castle gates opened the next morning, the women carried their men out on their backs. The Margrave was so moved by this cunning act by the loyal women of Kriebstein that he gave life to Dietrich von Staupitz, who actually deserved to die.                 If we come across the legend of the faithful wife of Kriebstein, Knight Dietrich von Staupitz conquered the castle in 1415.

                So the next morning, they carried their men out on their backs.
