    In the cathedral garden is the sculpture group "Fährmann hol' über", designed by the sculptor Günther Zeuner. It consists of two different sculptures. On the one hand the ferryman and on the other hand the emperors.
    The work of art refers to an old legend, according to which the emperors come from the cathedral and cross the Rhine to help the empire in great need. They shout “Ferryman, get over”. This reference can be read on the plaque that stands next to the sculpture of the emperors.
