The Wipper Dam, sometimes also called the Wippra fore-dam or Wipper fore-dam, in the Harz Mountains is a dam consisting of a dam wall, reservoir and hydroelectric power station built between 1951 and 1952 on the Wipper near Wippra in the Mansfeld-Südharz district in Saxony-Anhalt.
It is the perfect starting point for a scenic circular hiking trail. Parking is available.

A great hiking trail with nice little rest stops. I would note that some sections of the trail are very muddy due to certain weather conditions. There are always great views of the lake surrounded by beautiful forest.

Finally got that stamp. The drive to the Wipper Dam parking lot is quite an adventure. I actually wanted to do the circular route, but due to time constraints, I decided to return the same way.
