To the right in front of the Wildenfels castle pond there is a half-timbered house, the former park tavern. The age had to be determined through a dendrological examination: it was created in 1705.

It is thanks to the Wildenfels local history association that this time-honored and listed building was saved from decay and that it was given an extended life; The mayor and city council as well as local craftsmen have joined the initiative. The Parkschänke has now become a local history museum, whose origins as a half-timbered and half-timbered house remain visible.

The house also contains an apartment with furniture from the 18th century, the last surviving loom (1889) in Wildenfels, the local museum and a baroque room.
