The memorial commemorates the systematic murder of Jews by the National Socialists. In the last days of November 1941, they deported around a thousand people of Jewish origin from Stuttgart and other Württemberg towns and cities to the Killesberg and deported them from Stuttgart North Station to the Riga concentration camp on December 1st.
