Miskolc Reformed Church had a common historical past from 1554 to 1948. Afterwards, independent communities emerged from a tribe, including the Belvárosi Egyházközség, which was organized around the church on Kossuth Street. Founding pastor Dr. Andor Enyedy, the bishop of the Tiszáninnen Reformed Church District, and his main guardian was Dr. Gálffy, the mayor of Miskolc.
The II. After the misery of the Second World War, a great spiritual awakening followed. A diverse and meaningful spiritual life also took place in this community. But the establishment of the communist dictatorship hit the ship of the church. Our church also suffered great losses. The former Miskolc farmers who formed the church's base were deprived of their land and livestock, their houses were expropriated and many were deported to the Hortobágy forced labor camp.
