Radio line station (SLR) – a manned or unmanned (unmanned) facility equipped with transmitting and transmitting-receiving devices.
Television or radio programs (digital or analog) can be transmitted from the SLR. Radio and television programs transmitted from SLR usually have a range of several, sometimes several dozen kilometers - depending on the power radiated from the antennas and the height of the antenna installation.
The radio line station can also be a teletransmission facility for PDH and SDH systems with a bit rate of up to 620 MBit/s (STM-4). SLR can also be equipped with devices for transmitting optical signals - fiber optics. It is often a facility where devices of GSM/UMTS network operators, wireless business Internet providers such as Crowley, and LOJACK vehicle locations are located.
Each SLR facility is generally equipped with a telecommunications power plant system that converts 230 V current into 48 V, which powers all professional telecommunications devices in the world. The gym equipped with battery banks provides several hours of power supply to critical SLR components. Radio Line Stations are often equipped with stationary generators, enabling the facility to operate independently during a power outage. The facility is fenced and closed, but you can bike almost to the building.
