De Leest is a windmill built in 1899 in Lieshout (municipality of Laarbeek) in North Brabant. The mill, built with parts from other mills, was owned by the De Leest family from 1907 to 1975 and takes its name from it. In 1975, the then municipality of Lieshout bought the dilapidated mill. Immediately afterwards, De Leest was restored to a grinding standard. The mill can be visited on Tuesdays from 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM, on Saturdays from 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM and by appointment.

The special thing about Molen De Leest is that the parts come from other mills. The windmill was built in 1899 and can now be visited again after a restoration in the 1970s.

See also the statue at the mill of Lieshout. The statue is a tribute from the association De Hollandsche Molen, to all voluntary millers of the Netherlands. Prince Claus was the patron of this association. The statue was placed in Lieshout at the request of mayor Van Hout. It represents a ‘mulder’ who operates the catch rope. His gaze is focused on the wings. The catch is the ‘brake’ of the mill. Willem Verbruggen, miller of the mill De Korenaar in Oirschot, was the model for the artwork, which was designed by artist Charles Vergouwen.
