This is the intersection of the Donner Pass Trail with the Lookout Mountain Trail. OHVs are not allowed south of this intersection on the Donner Pass Trail. Unfortunately this area was badly affected by the 2020 Cameron Peak Fire. There are many burned trees and past this point the Lookout Trail can be a little hard to follow due to fire damage. There are, however, many saplings, shrubs and other plants, like some truly amazing wildflowers in the spring and summer, that are making a comeback after the wildfire.
