The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Nikolaus in Heldritt, Upper Franconia, a part of the municipality of Bad Rodach in the Coburg district, dates back to 1847 in its current form.

As a daughter community of Rodach, Heldritt was first mentioned in a brief from Pope Clement VI. Mentioned on March 24, 1350.[1] On November 19, 1511, the community received its own pastor and became an independent parish. The construction of a church is documented for 1474 to 1477.[2] The base of the church tower with the choir room was created. The church was under the patronage and was the burial place of the von Heldritt noble family. In 1524 the Reformation was introduced.[3] After the second Protestant Saxon church visitation in 1536, the vicarage of Grattstadt was placed under the jurisdiction of the Heldritter pastor in order to provide better care.
