The Alyki (Aliki) wetland in Aigio is a protected coastal lagoon known for its ecological importance and tranquility. Alyki is an important stopover for migratory birds. Among its most famous inhabitants are flamingos, which are often seen in large flocks in the shallow lagoon.
The lagoon covers an area of approximately 44.5 hectares and has a maximum depth of only half a meter. When there is no wind, the waters reflect the sky.
