A beautiful excursion destination for hikes, because the surrounding Grunewald offers countless hiking trails. When the weather is nice, you can also swim here.

The Lieper Bay, where there used to be a place to store wood, is a very popular destination for Berliners who love to swim. The landscape is beautiful, but the sandy beach there is a bit dirty. It's a bay and all sorts of things are driven. There is a parking lot and the walk to the beach is not far. The Grunewald Tower towers over the Lieper Bay and the island of Lindwerder on the Karlsberg.
