Leaving the Fosse Granarie behind us, we reach the Church of the Assunzione della BV. Mary! It is one of the churches built outside the walls of the Terra Vecchia.

We recall the description of the Church by the Bishop of the Diocese of Ascoli Satriano-Cerignola, Msgr. Angelo Struffolini, who told of a rectangular-shaped religious building, among the streets: dell'Assunta, via Melfi, and the street that led to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Ripalta!
The church has a neo-Renaissance facade; the complex fits into the urban fabric, neglecting any ornamental decoration.
Inside, there are works by the Decurtis brothers (1800).

The religious building was originally located outside the town centre on the road leading to Melfi. Today it is located in via Mascagni in the historic centre.
