Lasek Luizy - a forest city park located in Człuchów, in the area of the former Teutonic castle.

The origins of the park date back to 1800, when the first squares were established on the Kujawy peninsula, near the castle (earlier, in 1792, the outflow from the City Lake was dug, which lowered its water level and facilitated access to the peninsula). In 1807, the Prussian queen Luiza, who was on her way to Tylża, stopped in Człuchów, who was particularly fond of the beauty of the former peninsula. In 1811, the inhabitants named the peninsula Hill Louise. In the 1820s, the Association of Friends of Nature was established, with one of the main goals of beautifying the park. In 1826, the park lands came under municipal management. From 1854, the Society for Beautifying the City operated, which made further investments in the Luiza Forest. In 1952, the park was handed over to the State Forests, and in 1991 it was handed over to the commune (still as a forest area). Since 2006, it has had the status of a park again. In 2008 it was entered into the register of monuments. It is an English park equipped with small architecture - e.g. sundial and gazebos[1].
