Tip: According to Wiki, the Heidberg (99 m) has a mild microclimate due to its slightly elevated and relatively wind-protected location: it is at least 0.5°C warmer on average over the year than on the west side in Owschlag. And there, in Owschlag, there is about half as much annual precipitation (930 vs. 660 mm/sqm).

Since 2023, the summit of the Heidberg has had a new rest area. The mountain biker group Hütti-Trail-Builders is responsible for the seating group made of solid coniferous logs.

In the Hüttener Berge Nature Park southwest of Ascheffel, the 99.1 meter high Heidberg attracts numerous hikers and cyclists. The last stretch before the summit is very steep, but it's worth it. Unfortunately, there are no great views there because everything is now pretty overgrown.
But there is a large summit stone with benches for a rest after the strenuous climb and also a summit book in a Tupperware container.

The Hüttener mountains (Danish: Hytten Bjerge) are one to 105.8 m above sea level. NHN[1] high hill country just west of the town of Eckernförde in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein. They are located in the Hüttener Berge nature park.

The European WW E1 runs over the Heidberg. On the "summit" there is a small wooden box containing the Heidberg summit book. Here every hiker can leave greetings, good wishes and their hiking impressions.
The Heidberg is a beautiful place for a rest. Enchanting and pleasantly quiet in the early morning.

The European long-distance hiking trail E1 runs over the Heidberg. At 99 m, it is not the highest of the Hüttener mountains, but it is surprisingly high and can be reached via beautiful paths. The view is somewhat limited because it is densely forested, but the rest area is very nice and a summit book invites you to browse and make entries. A nice idea!
