It is one of the historic buildings erected after the flood in 1903. This sluice enables the flooding of flood polders - arable fields and wastelands. An interesting hydrotechnical facility, solid, iron, plus a wooden pedestrian and bicycle footbridge after a small renovation, all boards and railings are present. Although in the company of the eastern bypass of Wrocław, there is an amazing calm here. A pleasant place to observe nature: swans with young, herons, cranes as well as beavers and fish swimming in the bend of the river. Safe access to the lock is from the north, by a local road from Siechnice under the beltway or from Blizanowice and Mała Szweden. From this road you have to go to the embankment. From the south, access is faster, but less safe - you need to leave the bicycle path by the ring road from the bridge over Oława and cross the ring road to the west (local road to Siechnice to the east). The ring road runs in a curve in this place and visibility is limited by acoustic screens, traffic is usually heavy or very heavy. However, it is worth trying to get here, because the place is exceptionally atmospheric, especially in the early morning or at dusk. I recommend!
