The industrial area "Bernhardsmüh" is an important economic factor for the city of Baruth/Mark and can be viewed from the bridge on the B96. The large smoking chimneys can also be seen from the Baruther Weinberg and the Flemmingwiesen. Large companies in the wood industry have settled here. For example, there is one of the largest sawmills in Germany here. Over the past few years, more than 1,200 jobs have been created on an area of around 180 hectares in the industrial area - for a town like Baruth with around 4,500 inhabitants, this is an outstanding achievement that reflects targeted economic development. Some global companies have settled here and see economic potential in the region that needs to be developed. The production spectrum of the sawmill of Klenk Holz AG includes sawn timber, planed goods, construction timber, profiled timber and garden timber with a cutting capacity of more than one million solid cubic metres. Floor coverings made of wood and wood-based materials are industrially manufactured in Baruth. One of the 22 locations with which the Pfleiderer Group is represented in Western and Eastern Europe and North America is located in Baruth in the Brandenburg region. In the "Bernhardsmüh" industrial area, the focus is on future-oriented products - an example of this is the MDF plant. Classen Industries GmbH manufactures high-quality laminate boards here, and Fiberboard Baruth operates a modern fiberboard plant. Another company that produces here in the region and for the region - and far beyond, is the Brandenburger Urstromquelle GmbH & Co. KG, one of the largest German mineral water producers. The "Bernhardsmüh" industrial area is located about 50 kilometers south of Berlin at the intersection of the two federal roads B 96 and B 115. It is only nine kilometers to the A 13 motorway (Berlin - Cottbus - Dresden), and there is also a separate rail loading station with a connection to the Berlin-Dresden railway line, so that transport accessibility is guaranteed at all times. All plots of land are fully developed, and our own transformer station and sewage treatment plant ensure that all settlements are supplied with energy and water. At the moment there are still 15 hectares of free industrial space available for purchase, the mayor himself will be happy to take care of your projects.
