Lake Lowndes State Park is filled with hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, various piers and picnic areas, fishing access, camping areas, and the opportunity to experience Mississippi wildlife. There is a load of other amenities at this park. The lake, itself, is over 150-acres and is just down the road from Mississippi State University.
Some of the trails appear to be more "hiking specific" than others, but bikes are allowed on all trails. Be aware of other trail users and don't be surprised when you come across some steps and road crossings on the trails.
