The mosaic "Steinerner Oriental Carpet" on the Wilhelminen Bridge is intended to remind us of the Speicherstadt as the largest trading center for oriental carpets. The 27 meter long work of art consists of colored granules made of quartz, granite and marble.
The sculptor Frank Raendchen created the work of art in 2005 and led the restoration in 2016.
