Completed in 1949, the Voortrekker Monument is a historical and ironic monument commemorating the Afrikaner pioneers (Voortrekkers) and their journey during the Great Trek of the 1830s. Its architecture is striking and symbolic, with a central cenotaph hall and a 360° marble frieze. Visitors can discover the full story of the Afrikaners and the Great Trek on the ground floor. From the roof terrace, you can enjoy panoramic views of Pretoria.
