The animal protection association for the Rhein-Kreis Neuss e.V. was founded in 1959 as the "animal protection association for Grevenbroich and the surrounding area" and can now look back on more than 60 years of eventful history. Initially with a small animal shelter in Grevenbroich-Hemmerden, the animal shelter was opened in Rommerskirchen-Oekoven in 1975.
