There have been moose here in the zoo since November 2013. The first calves were born in 2015.
The bull moose “Ole” and his girls “Greta” and “Lotte”, “Smilla”, “Kari” and “Tori” as well as the offspring from 2022 currently live here.
Moose are rarely kept in zoos because they are considered very problematic and vulnerable animals. Their diet is very complicated. During the rut, the bulls can also be very dangerous for the animal keepers!
