The building is made up of two parts built at different times. The facade and the hall are to be ascribed to the 1967 interventions while the domed presbytery and barrel-vaulted choir space are to be understood as having been built in the 18th and early 19th centuries. Along the side walls of the large single nave are niches reserved for a chapel and baptistery. Two chapels are also to the side of the presbytery.

Facade

The facade covered in local stone is tripartite. The highest central section is characterized by the presence of the entrance door framed by a large tympanum. In the upper part a window gives light to the nave. On the sides there are two secondary entrances. The highest portion is decorated by the presence of a projecting frame.

Counterfacade

A unique case in Ogliastra is the presence of a second facade on the back of the building. This monumental counterfacade appears as a frontispiece positioned in front of the rear part of the church. It is a slender body with a central portal delimited at the top by the presence of a tympanum at the top of which is placed the statue of the Madonna. Above the portal is a string course. Other decorative elements are a central niche with a sacred image and various architectural elements in stone.
