Balchik is a beautiful little port town in the northernmost part of Bulgaria, which impresses every holidaymaker with all its historical sights and great location, far away from mass tourism. The small dreamy town, also called the white town, is located directly on the Black Sea, on the extensive golden sands, in the Bulgarian Oblast Dobrich. The city itself has 13,095 inhabitants but attracts a few tourists every year who admire it in all its beauty and diversity.

Not far from the big city of Varna, it is quite possible for vacationers to easily get to their destination. Balchik is a town with a historical background, which has changed country several times in its history. For example, Balchik belonged to Romania from 1913-1940 before it was returned to Bulgarian custody. During this time, among other things, one of the most famous excursion destinations in the city was created, the picturesque castle of the late Romanian Queen Maria with its botanical garden, which has been restored and prepared for some time under the supervision of the University of Sofia. In any case, this sight is an eye-catcher for every visitor to the region.

In addition to the castle as a historical monument, the resort of Balchik with its dreamy old town and beautiful alleys, small cafes and restaurants with traditional dishes and finally with the typical bazaar also offers the opportunity to simply switch off while strolling through the city and to enjoy the usual mass tourism .
Nevertheless, there is more variety on holiday, so local providers in the dreamy port of the city, where both yachts and excursion boats dock, offer several boat tours along the Gold Coast, which is well worth seeing, all the way to Varna, and the central location always offers the possibility to quickly go to the surrounding areas Cities to get to cheaply.

If all this diversity is not yet convincing, you can also look forward to a unique view of the city along the coast. Here, on the one hand, you can see the unique land side with the impressive chalk cliffs that stretch along the coast, while from the land side you can enjoy an unclouded view of the sparkling blue Black Sea.
