In the Corregimiento de Quinamayó, municipality of Jamundí Valle, a custom has a tradition, more than 150 years of history ago, the Black God child arrives in February and the town gathers to celebrate it.
The history of this corregimiento is a tradition that the midwives maintain within the territory and instill in the little ones, despite the pressure exerted by the new musical genres, this beautiful custom, and it has been maintained throughout a century without major variations and not participating in them, becomes for its inhabitants an uprooting towards the ancestral culture in this community.
