    The Plazuela Chabuca Granda is a small square dedicated to the famous Peruvian composer, located next to the steps of La Ermita Church and in front of the Bridge of Sighs. On it are two sculptures, that of Chabuca Granda and next to her that of Chalán José Antonio Lavalle, from which the composer was inspired to write the song "José Antonio".... It was performed on October 24, 1992 at the "Semana de Barranco” was inaugurated. It's so small that if you're not careful you'll walk by and not see it!

    The name comes from María Isabel Granda y Larco, better known as Chabuca Granda, a Peruvian singer, songwriter and folklorist. The square also features sculptures dedicated to Chalan José Antonio Lavalle y García, a personal friend of Chabuca Granda. The course was inaugurated in 2013, is very well preserved, clean and has beautiful landscaping.
