The Patio de Comedias de Torralba de Calatrava is a large architectural complex that offers various spaces adapted to the realization of multiple cultural manifestations. Its versatility is determined by its constructive complexity, by the time delay of its conception and by the respect maintained in its restoration. The large patio has a capacity of 320 removable seats.
Documents are known that support that plays and puppet performances were held in this place until the end of the 19th century. The first data on theatrical activity in this complex date back to the Renaissance, in 1578. This renovated stage space was declared in 2004 an Asset of Cultural Interest. In September 2010, it was inaugurated and since then it has a very consolidated programming, especially during the summer months from June to September. Highlighting the Music Cycle and the International Festival of Theater and Puppets that bears his name.
