Blue Lake is Nestled directly next to Pondhawk Natural Area. The paved path takes you all the way around the perimeter and includes a bridge crossing. If you take the paved path into the natural area, there is a covered gazebo to take in the 79 acres of scrub habitats and wetlands, including a relict pond apple slough with some of the tallest pond apple trees in Florida. You may need to push your bike on the Pondhawk Trail if it is crowded.
