The church dates from the 15th century. Initially, Będków territorially belonged to the now non-existent parish in the village of Rosocha. Just before 1300, the church of St. Sigismund and All Saints, which until November 22, 1523 served as a parish church.
On November 23, 1523, the Archbishop of Gniezno, Jan Łaski, at the request of the town owners, erected a parish in Będków, next to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, existing since 1462, and made the church in Rososza its branch. At that time, however, the church fell into ruin. The current building was founded by bishop Jan Dębowski in 1762.
The building is entered on the list of monuments of the National Heritage Board of Poland.
