He did not succumb to any devilish promptings and tricks. Because of this, he was a thorn in the devil's eye. One day the devil got so angry that he decided to destroy the mill and the miller. He took a large stone and threw it at the mill with all his might. But he didn't. The stone fell where it now lies, and the mill stands as it stands today.
