Depending on the time of year and recent rainfall, this can be a pretty serious water crossing. Most of the spring and summer season, the crossing is about shin to knee deep. If you are a serious adventurer with your vehicle, the majority of the trail to Clohesy Lake can be driven, but the water crossing and a few steeper sections of forest road can pose some issues.
It can be smart to start with a pair of water shoes or sandals and hide them under a rock after this water crossing so that you don't have to start the run with wet shoes. The trail starts climbing pretty steeply immediately after the end of the water crossing.
