In 1848 the Lutheran congregation of 224 believers did not have its own cemetery, and the burials of the dead then took place in nearby Chmielno. In 1866, on the northern outskirts of the village, on a small hill, construction of a neoclassical chapel and a cemetery began to serve the evangelicals from Gaszów, Ustroń and Skała. The work was completed in the same year. Over time, an impressive sandstone mausoleum was built here, in which the dead of the now unknown family were buried.
