Sankt Göran och Dragons depicts the Scandinavian saga Saint George and the Dragon.
The city was once under the spell of a dragon and the inhabitants fed it a sheep every day. When the sheep were gone, they brought a child every day.
One day this fate befell the king's daughter. While she was waiting for the dragon, the knight Göran came and killed the dragon and thus saved the princess and the city.
This bronze statue is a replica, the wooden original is in Storkyrkan.
