Erected in the 1960s in the middle of an isolated site overlooking the Geer valley, this fantastic tower was built in large flint rubble from the nearby quarry by Robert Garcet. Its seven levels end with a terrace at the angles of which stand sculptures of winged animals.
Inside, an exhibition makes you relive the fabulous adventure of this unique construction and immerses you in the pacifist action of its designer, Robert Garcet.
In addition, the "Geospadium" - interactive educational space - takes you into the world of the Cretaceous and takes you to the discovery of flint from its formation to its use in all its forms throughout humanity.
The visit to the Geospadium is included in the visit to the tower.
Spectacular, the Eben-Ezer Tower dominates the Geer Valley. Built in large flint rubble on a square base and 33 meters high, it contains a carefully considered symbolism. Robert Garcet, its architect, left nothing to chance when he built it from 1948 to 1963. At the top, each corner is topped by a huge sculpture of a winged animal in concrete. The Taurus, the Sphinx, the Lion and the Eagle represent the cherubim of Ezekiel's vision. This is just one example of the symbolism of the tower. Inside, an exhibition reveals more. The interactive Geospadium educational space takes you into the Cretaceous universe. The garden with its European Exhibition of Fantastic Art, and whose theme changes every year, is also accessible to end a visit between dream and mythology.
