The cliffs of Apparalang are about 30 minutes' drive north of the popular beach town of Bira in southern Sulawesi. It is nice to wander around and admire the impressive cliffs (Tebing) from different perspectives. Here and there, the place has been spiced up with a few gimmicks such as a diving board or a wooden boat, so that visitors also have something to snap. It wasn't really necessary, but it's also not as pushy or cheesy as many other Instagram-optimized spots in Southeast Asia. An entrance fee is due at the entrance, I think it was about 35k (a good 2 EUR) for 2 adults and a child. And they were definitely worth it!
