Where today is an idyllic campsite, historical remnants of WWII can still be seen. The coastal fort (and many others) were built by the Germans, complete with cannons and ammunition stores. It can hardly be seen from the coast, but catches the eye. The complex is huge, there are several turrets hollowed out by many corridors.
The fort is not advertised, it seems as if the Norwegians want to forget it and give this place a new connotation.
