The Steinheim Main Bridge is a three-parallel bridge crossing the Main River in Hanau, connecting Hanau's city center and the Hanau-Steinheim district, serving both rail and road traffic.

The steel truss road bridge:
- for cars, two-lane with bicycle and pedestrian paths on both sides
- Total length 246 m

The steel truss railway bridge:
- Steel tied-arch bridge of the S-Bahn (suburban railway)
- Total length 246 m

In 1873, the road bridge was the first fixed crossing of the Main River in the Hanau area since the Roman bridge, located just downstream of the Steinheim Bridge, below the vicus and fort of Salisberg, had been destroyed approximately 1,600 years earlier.

The Steinheim Main Bridge became necessary when the Bebra Railway, which was under construction after the annexation of Electoral Hesse by the Kingdom of Prussia in 1866, was to continue to Frankfurt am Main instead of Hanau. Since the North Main Railway line had already existed since 1848 and was privately owned, the Prussian State Railway had no choice but to build its own line south of the Main River, crossing the territory of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. This required crossing the Main River. At the same time, however, it also provided a connection to the industrial city of Offenbach am Main.
