I also comment on hikes I've done with my little rascal daughter, or on hikes I plan to do with her and have already done at least once myself.
Mountains aren't a playground, and skipping the summit; turning back early isn't cowardice.
You should always assess your abilities carefully, even more so when you have children with you!

Simply a fantastic hike! Since I'm not afraid of heights, I was skeptical, but I had no problems! Two sections after the Fellhorn summit were secured with ropes, but they weren't dangerous.
In dry conditions and with good footwear, I highly recommend it!
