Here the sled dogs can be found on both sides of the road. Sometimes the condition of the kennels and housing is frightening, but these dogs are probably used to this type of housing.

Yes, the sled dogs are always kept at meeting points in the Greenlandic settlements (north of the Arctic Circle, because only here is dog keeping allowed due to weather conditions). Adult dogs are chained and only the young ones are allowed to run around freely. You shouldn't be bothered by it if your masters kick at the food to make it clear who's in charge.
