Relatively easy to drive, well-developed passport, decent surface and only moderate incline of no more than 10%. The tunnel absorbs most of the traffic, which is why it is quite pleasant to cycle over the pass. A few switchbacks and many curves make the route very attractive and there is also a lot of views.

The Col de Puymorens is the mountain pass that connects the Ariège valley with Cerdanya parallel to the Carol river. It culminates at 1,920 meters. It is located in the department of the French Eastern Pyrenees, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, in the traditional region of Upper Cerdanya.
