Cycle route through the Schaumburger Land.
Experience the places in the vicinity of Wiedensahl that Wilhelm Busch captured in his drawings and paintings.
On April 15, 1832, the painter, author and illustrated story artist Wilhelm Busch was born in this village, which was of great importance to him throughout his life. Only interrupted by a few trips, Wilhelm Busch spent most of his life in this attractive region. Almost all of his famous picture stories were created here, as well as numerous oil paintings and hand drawings based on motifs from nature.

Go in search of traces of the places around Wiedensahl that were the motif and inspiration for the painter and draftsman Busch. You will not only get to know the paths on which he hiked, but also the houses in which he lived. The comparison between Busch's representations and today's views shows the great changes as well as what has been preserved over time. Reproductions of Busch's drawings and paintings are set up at the locations, so that this comparison between the past and the present is only possible.
