This is a wonderful stone circle hidden amid eerie woodlands. With pagan items hanging in the trees, there is a magical and mystical, if a little spooky, atmosphere to Doll Tor. As it is less well-known than nearby Nine Ladies Stone Circle, you will often have the spot to yourself. Whilst there is no footpath on the map, it is absolutely fine to access the stone circle, which is maintained by Historic England. Just head over the gate opposite the footpath on Stanton Moor and head to the second, slightly larger woodland.

Unfortunately we could not find this today which is a shame, I dont think it helped being midsummer that everything was overgrown. I will be back again though come autumn as it looks like a nice little find.
