The Albertina is an art museum in Vienna, located in a former Habsburg palace. It houses one of the most important collections of graphics, drawings and photographs in the world. The Albertina also shows changing exhibitions of modern and contemporary art.
* The Memorial against War and Fascism is a work by the Austrian sculptor Alfred Hrdlicka. It has stood on Vienna's Albertinaplatz since 1988 - named after Helmut Zilk in 2009 - opposite the Archduke Albrecht Palace and the back of the Vienna State Opera. It is dedicated to all victims of war and fascism and consists of four different parts:
* The Gate of Violence: It is made of granite, like the one dragged by thousands of prisoners up the death stairs in the quarry of the Mauthausen concentration camp. The sculpture on the left commemorates the victims of the mass murder in the camps and prisons of the National Socialists, the group of figures on the right gate pillar commemorates all victims of the war.
* The Kneeling Jew: This bronze sculpture of a kneeling Jew washing the streets commemorates the degradation and humiliation that preceded the merciless persecution and murder of Jewish citizens immediately after the Anschluss of Austria to the German Reich in March 1938.
* The Street of the Jews: This is a granite pavement slab inscribed with the names of 41 concentration camps to which Austrian Jews were deported.
* The Orpheus: This is a bronze sculpture depicting a naked man emerging from a hole in the ground. It symbolizes the rebirth of Austria after the horrors of war and fascism.
