The Borek or von Borcke family has been associated with Zajezierze since the Middle Ages, when these lands belonged to the Duchy of Pomerania. The progenitor of the family, Borko I, who lived at the beginning of the previous millennium, was probably a Slavic magnate serving the Pomeranian princes.
In the Middle Ages, the Borek family built a castle in Zajezierze, which was replaced in the 17th century with a magnificent Renaissance manor house, which they owned until 1778. The next owners of the palace were the Rosenberg-Gruszczyński family. At the beginning of the 19th century, the manor was extended to the current Renaissance-Baroque residence. The three-storey palace is built on a C-shaped plan. There is an honorary courtyard in front of the entrance.
After World War II, until 2007, the palace was a center for handicapped children. After 2008, the palace was put up for sale by the poviat starosty for the amount of approx. PLN 650,000. zloty. Next to the palace there is a landscape park and an artificial lake.
The palace and the surrounding area is very neglected. Overgrown with vegetation. In front of the entrance there are signs "Private area - no entry" The entrance gate is wide open.
