That fence and house have always been there because this was a fairly extensive municipal walking park with animals that were kept within the fence, such as deer. Very popular with parents with young children, we also spent many days here. You could buy food (among others) at the house. A few years ago people started to expose inland dunes here and the fences will also disappear to create connections between various areas in the context of nature development and diversity. I note that it has recently also been discovered by Komoot users, but locally it has been known for many decades. The works may take some time, but the land dune works are progressing quickly. General note: Molenheide wildlife park is not the same as Molenheide holiday park/bungalow park, even though both are located next to each other.

Nice short walk. Possibility to have a drink halfway. Wild boars to be seen. Possible with buggy (if it has not rained too much).
