The burial forest lies on the edge of the district of Herzebrock, in the town of Herzebrock-Clarholz. Marked by over 100 years old oak trees, it offers a diverse selection of worthy tree grave sites. Here the ashes of the deceased are buried in a biodegradable urn, in the root area of your personally selected tree.
The ashes feed the tree, new life arises. In this scenery of a historical tree population you consciously refrain from gravestones and any grave decorations. A sign with name, dates of birth and death can be attached to the tree if desired. The grave care we entrust to nature. Without extensive care and follow-up costs, we can ensure a backup of grave sites of up to 90 years.

The burial forests are a nice idea in themselves, but the natural design (forest paths, slopes, branches on the ground, etc.) makes the "graves" difficult to reach for elderly and disabled relatives and friends. It is easier in normal cemeteries.
