From the Danube Cycle Path, an impressive view opens up of the Linz Industrial Park – one of Austria's most important industrial areas and a key economic driver for the city of Linz. Numerous companies, primarily from the chemical and plastics industries, are located here, covering an area of approximately one square kilometer.

Thanks to its excellent transport connections – with direct access to the motorway and rail network as well as the Danube tank port – the chemical park plays a crucial role in the country's industrial infrastructure.

Despite its industrial backdrop, Linz boasts a lovingly preserved old town, modern cultural offerings, and superb cycle paths along the Danube. This section of the Danube Cycle Path only briefly passes by the industrial facilities, but offers a fascinating contrast between nature, technology, and urban development – typical of the multifaceted city of Linz.
